Fishers of Men
An empty, old fishing boat,
Swaying to the rhythm of the sea.
Washed upon a deserted shore,
Beckoning, “Come follow me”.
Long ago, when Jesus walked,
On the shore of Galilee.
He called to men who fished in boats,
They walked away, leaving their nets to the sea.
An empty, old fishing boat reminds me,
That we are to fish for men, as well.
To save those who have lost their way,
And are headed straight for hell.
This is my prayer, O Lord,
Wherever I may go
I’ll follow You and fish for men,
To save even one poor, lost soul.
