The Easter Story
On a hill far away,
Hung a man on a cross.
Willing to die,
For a world that was lost.
A mother’s heart grieves,
As she cradles her son.
Crying out in despair,
For what they had done.
His body was laid,
In a grave made of rock.
They rolled a big stone,
the entrance, now blocked.
Three days; two women there came,
To the grave where He lay.
But the angel proclaimed,
“HE HAS RISEN TODAY!!
THE WHOLE EARTH REJOICES,
THE BATTLE IS WON!
OUR LIVES NOW REDEEMED,
BY JESUS, GOD’S SON!
