THE PERSECUTED

She sits in a hot, barren land,

Watching her children die.

They no longer receive food rations,

Because she praises her Lord on high.

He’s chained in a cold, damp cell.

For preaching God’s Word to the lost.

He will not deny his Savior,

So, with joy, he will pay the cost!

His home was destroyed by a bomb,

His family, left homeless to die.

They would not abandon their faith.

WE WILL SERVE CHRIST” was their cry!

The churches are growing in numbers,

Though they’re beaten and suffer great pain.

Their faith is stronger than ever,

Could we here in America, endure the same.

Remember those in prison as if you were

their prisoners, and those who are mistreated

as if you were suffering.
