Alive Forevermore
There Jesus stood,
All bloody and bruised.
He remained there in silence,
While being accused.
A twisted crown of thorns,
Jammed onto His head.
And a robe wrapped around Jesus,
Of scarlet red.
The soldiers beat Jesus,
And spit in His face.
They treated my Lord,
With utter disgrace.
Christ chose to endure,
All the torture and pain.
On a blood-stained cross,
The Lamb of God was slained.
In a borrowed grave,
Jesus’ body they did lay.
With a stone at the entrance,
And guards along the way.
But death could not stop,
What God had in store!
The stone was rolled away,
CHRIST NOW AIVE FOREVERMORE!
