The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom
and discipline. Proverbs 1:7
It is September already! Time for school;
so what better Book of the Bible to talk
about than PROVERBS.
This book is more than a book of advice.
It gives you Knowledge and Experience
that God says we must have, if we are to
live successfully. These proverbs are universal
principles that apply to all people, no matter
where you live or what century you live in.
Human nature has not changed since the
beginning of time. God’s Word has
never changed either. Only the scenic
beauty of nature has changed around us.
There are 31chapters in the book of Proverbs.
It is suggested that a person could read a
chapter each day for a month. So I am
going to challenge anyone that would like
to read Proverbs through in a month.
I’ve done it myself before. You can learn a
lot from the wisdom of King Solomon,
and the other writers.
God gave King Solomon and the
other writers, the words to say.
A book of instruction on the ways of life in God’s
world. A book of wise sayings that is the
foundation for all other wise sayings. The
center of this book is that the fear of the
Lord will give us the motivation to
be obedient to God, which is where true
wisdom is found.
Truly a book to live by. Not only the Book
of Proverbs, but the entire Bible.
God’s Word is all that we need. Without
it, we are eternally lost.
As a christian rapper titled one of his
rap songs, Read the Word by Lecrae.
Christians everywhere should be reading
the Bible daily….me included!
Have a great month! Enjoy the read.
In Christ,
